More than 6000 will stay at the hotel on the bank of Lake Wakatipu over the next six weeks.
All of the hotel's 320 rooms are booked, and most of the Queenstown Village Apartments where Amway organisers will stay.
The first of 11 waves arrives on Monday.
Hotel general manager Chris Ehmann, whose hotel has been full all summer, said the big difference was ''the whole hotel is moving as one''.
''Those pinch points are going to be where we struggle.
''We're going to suddenly get 15 buses coming in from the airport and we have to move luggage for 320 rooms in an hour and a-half.
''That's where every person, irrespective of what department they work in, will be assisting in that exercise.''
On nine days, there will be check-outs and check-ins only about six hours apart.
''Breakfast, which would normally run from 6am till 11am, is now compressed into two hours, so we're looking at using different [in-house] venues.''
On the other hand, when the groups were away from their accommodation the hotel would be empty.
Mr Ehmann said the Hilton would be bringing in some staff from Chinese Hilton hotels.
''We've brought in a couple of extra chefs; we've brought in, also, some people that we can dot around the hotel just to help with language.''
There will also be Chinese language signs above English signs.
It had been a fun exercise for staff, Mr Ehmann said.
''Every day, some of the team have been releasing a little video of people saying a couple of [Chinese] words that we can practise.''
The hotel's Wakatipu Grill restaurant, Stacks Pub and Me&Mee Chinese Restaurant will close to the public until May 16, though the cafe and spa will stay open.
Meanwhile, all 11 Amway groups will attend gala dinners at Coronet Peak skifield's base building that will conclude with fireworks displays just after 9pm.
