Queenstown's SkyCity Stampede ice hockey team are at home to the Canterbury Red Devils this weekend, having opened their season in Dunedin with a mixed bag.
Last Friday the Stampede beat Dunedin Thunder 7-4 — Jackson Flight scored two goals, while Logan Campbell, Dylan Devlin, Jack Robbie and new import Max Roth scored one a piece.
The tide turned on Saturday night, though, with the Stampede losing 6-3, with goals to Robbie, Devlin and Ollie Ruski-Jones. Puck drop at the Queenstown Ice Arena’s 7pm tonight and Saturday.
