Overlooking a cake made for the occasion are, from left, board member and life member Margaret O’Connor, president Wayne Dowman and board members Geoff Short and Kat Saric.
"I know it’s usually 125, but some of the members decided, why not celebrate 120?" O’Connor says.
Meanwhile, Arrowtown Bowling Club’s greens were covered in snow last Friday, but are expected to be more playable come opening day this Sunday, when the Earnslaw Trophy will be at stake against Queenstown.
The Arrowtown club won no fewer than nine centre titles last season.
Allan Brash and Debbie Jackson were each involved in four of those wins and Brash’s wife Diane Brash had a hand in three of them.
Club president Kelvin Jackson says: "The club has really flourished over the past couple of seasons, and to take out all those titles is amazing."
