Pair rescued from cliff face after 60m fall

A man and his dog were winched off a cliff face near Frankton this afternoon after slipping off a walking track.

A police spokeswoman said they were walking on the Twin Rivers Trail, on Thompson Hill, and fell about 60m down a bank before getting trapped there about 1pm.

Both were winched off the cliff by a rescue helicopter.

Neither was injured in the incident, she said.
