Queenstown soaks up jazz

Hundreds of people turned out to watch Jazz in the Park in Queenstown this weekend.

The event, organised by Jazz Fest, was one of two free concerts planned for the Labour weekend.

Jazz Festival Trust chairman Luke Baldock said the Arrowtown gig had to be cancelled one hour in, due to weather conditions.

In Queenstown, hundreds turned out to watch musicians and many enjoyed a picnic.

Mr Baldock praised the crowd and said it was a "really great" day out for both locals and visitors to the area.
