Full boatloads of thrillseekers could be seen on Lake Wakatipu yesterday as the need to social-distance was dispensed with.

KJet customer service manager Emilie Nolan said the first taste of Alert Level 1 had resulted in ‘‘a really good day’’ and the company looked ‘‘forward to many more’’.

Adrenaline junkies were also lining up to inquire after skydives at NZONE. Business development manager Derek Melnick said numbers were ‘‘not massive, but showed an uplift’’.
