About 100 students graduated with diplomas in adventure tourism management and hospitality management.
Students celebrated with a parade down central Queenstown’s Camp St, starting from the college’s base near Queenstown Gardens and finishing up at the Queenstown Memorial Centre for the ceremony.
College chief executive Charlie Phillips said the future for graduates was ‘‘pretty bright, as tourism is back on the map. They're sought after’’.
Some of these graduates were already working in roles ranging from jetboat drivers, to hotel duty managers, Mr Phillips said.
‘‘For first-year graduates, they're in pretty good roles and they're all sort of striving to be in mid-management and excel from there.’’
Among yesterday’s graduates were Ariella Midwood, Jordyn George and Sofya Coutanche-Gould, who all graduated with diplomas in adventure tourism management.
They all said they were ‘‘stoked’’ with the college experience.
