One-year-old Rose joins her mum Natalie Tunnah to receive the Clutha leader Silver Farms Local Legend prize lamb leg roast this week.

Mrs Tunnah has been a driving force behind the new kindergarten in Clutha Valley and still finds time for parent-led early childhood education in Playcentre.

She is president of the Clutha Valley Flower Show and started the Clutha Valley Food Fairies page, to gather volunteers with help for local families with new babies or unexpected hardship, all while helping her husband’s business and raising three
girls.

"A bit of time is free for anyone to give, and having three young children is plenty of motivation to do what you can for your community," Mrs Tunnah said.

"Volunteers aren’t looking for a reward, so it’s great Silver Fern Farms and the Leader does this to recognise them every week."
