Woman walks away from crash

A car overturned and crashed into farmland near Milton yesterday morning.

Constable Darren Huddleston, of Balclutha, said the sedan was driving north in Back Rd when the driver lost control in the gravel and the vehicle rolled over a fence about 10am.

The 21-year-old female sole occupant, of Milton, ''surprisingly walked away'' without injury after emergency services freed her from her seatbelt.

A helicopter was sent from Dunedin, however it was not needed. Fire and ambulance services were sent from Balclutha and Milton.
