The victim who was stabbed during an armed robbery in Invercargill a fortnight ago has been discharged from hospital and was now recovering at home.

Police yesterday confirmed the victim’s condition but also said they were still looking for a third person in relation to the incident which occurred at the Gladstone Night ’n Day store on Dee St.

A second man involved in the robbery appeared in the Invercargill District Court yesterday.

The 31-year-old man, who has interim name suppression, was charged with stealing a Honda Civic, robbing a person while armed with a pistol and filleting knife, wounding with intent to cause grevious bodily harm and stealing petrol.

He is jointly charged on all matters which relate to the armed robbery which happened on July 30.

Despite him wanting to enter a plea, Judge Bernadette Farnan told him he could not and said he should speak to his defence counsel, Sonia Vidal, first.

Judge Farnan remanded the man in custody to appear on September 1.

Adam Hamilton (37), who is jointly charged with the man, appeared in court on the same charges earlier in the week. He was also remanded in custody to appear on September 1.
