A bus has rolled on State Highway 6 near Makarora this evening but there look to be no injuries resulting from the accident.
Police were responding to reports the bus rolled about 15km north of the settlement, on the Haast Pass-Makarora Rd, just before 6.30pm, a spokeswoman said
Early indications were that there was snow on the road, she said.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said the reports from the first crew on the scene were no-one was trapped and injuries were "nil or minor".
The NZ Transport Agency advises that the road is now closed owing to snow.
