Lions scholarship winners awarded

The Riversdale Lions and the Gore Pakeke Lions clubs announced their tertiary scholarship winners last week.The Ensign was on hand to record the occasion.

Riversdale Lions Club scholarship winners (from left) Erica Cross, 17, Molly Haisman, Nick Smaill, both 18 and Luke Shallard, 17, are congratulated by president Rhys Houghton and youth and scholarship convener Scott Nicholson. He was impressed with the four pupils who had "done their homework about the Lions Club", Mr Nicholson said. They were ‘‘well-presented, well-mannered and quite focused on where they are going with their courses’’

 

Recipients of the Gore Pakeke Lions scholarships for 2024 are (left) Alysa Little, Marshall McChlery, Kayla Eckhout, Aryan Kumar, Meg Clarkson, Samuel Clarkson, Lauryn Pinckney, Oliver Anderson and Rebecca McBeath.

Gore Pakeke Lions Club president Fay Graves congratulated the recipients and wished them the best for their futures.
