The rich got richer, the poor got poorer, and those in between came closer together as three distinct divisions emerged during week 11 of the men's senior competition.

Otago Boys' High School (10-1) and the Bombers (7-4) remain the only teams with winning records, while the Falcons (5-6), Magic (5-6) and Saints (4-7) scrap it out below for the two remaining semifinal spots.

The Comets (2-9) look in a league of their own, and are likely to struggle in the coming weeks as their depth is tested during university holidays.

The Falcons had their winning streak snapped at four games by OBHS 75-68, but were impressive in leading the competition leaders for the majority of the contest.

Tom Rowe arrived late in the first quarter after the Nuggets shoot-around, with his team down seven.

He left at the final buzzer with 20 points and the lead reversed after helping to hold the Falcons, who had won each of the first three quarters, to just nine points in the final period.

Luke Aston had a game-high 21 points and Elton Carruthers added 15 for OBHS, who continue to erase leads quickly with their up-tempo style.

Clive Cox was a standout inside for the Falcons, collecting 10 of his 18 points in the opening quarter as the Falcons sniffed an upset.

The Saints won their second straight contest by handing the Magic their fourth loss in as many rounds to further intensify the playoff race.

Tom Tindale was immovable for the Saints on the low block, often catching the ball deep in the painted area on his way to 20 points.

Cain Falconer scored 18 and Lyndon Jackson had 13 after knocking down a succession of early jump-shots.

The Magic lost, despite the presence of Adam Wheeler, Mitch McRae and Matt Trueman, and is now in danger of slipping out of the top four.

Steve Robinson, constantly in motion, dropped 36 points as the Bombers routed the Comets 104-58.

Five of his team-mates also reached double-figures in easily accounting for the Comets, who received 21 points from Sam McKenzie.
