New Zealand were 147 for eight in their second innings at stumps on day four of the first cricket test against Pakistan at University Oval in Dunedin today - an overall lead of 244.

Bad light ended play with 29.1 overs still to be bowled.

Ross Taylor top scored with 59 while pacebowler Mohammad Asif had figures of four for 41.

Grant Elliott, 20, and Iain O'Brien, 4, are the not out batsmen.

Pakistan were dismissed for 332 in reply to New Zealand's 429 earlier today.
