The top teams will have to wait one more week to decide the Southern Football League title.
Just one game will be played tomorrow when Mosgiel hosts Nomads United at Memorial Park to finish the season for both.
The others will wait until next weekend as the Chatham Cup semifinals take precedence - although no South Island teams are left in the Cup.
Mosgiel had a tough start to the league, although it can still finish as high as fifth if results go its way.
A win over Western last weekend lifted it to six points, leaving it tied for fifth with Western and Nomads.
If it beats Nomads it will guarantee finishing ahead of the Christchurch side.
Western will also be a heavy favourite to reach nine points, playing the winless Otago University in its last game next week.
Nelson Suburbs and Cashmere Technical are the two teams left fighting for the title.
Nelson has a one-point lead, although it has a tough game against Coastal Spirit to finish.
If it fails to secure three points it leaves the door open for Cashmere to win for a second consecutive year.
Nelson will attempt to do that in Dunedin against Caversham, which can climb to third with a win if Coastal loses.
