College A dominated University Albion A with a 61-49 victory in the sixth round of the Dunedin premier netball competition on Saturday.

College led 17-10 at the first break and continued their strong performance through the second quarter to lead 32-21 at halftime.

Goal attack Brenna Lyons dominated the shooting circle, landing 26 of her 30 attempts at goal to run at 86%.

Her partner in the circle, Talei Pelasio, was also on point, finishing with an amazing 89% accuracy.

College’s defence combination of Greer O’Rourke at goal defence and Maddie Tinnock at the back were on form with their circle defence.

They helped College extend their advantage to 47-35 at the third-quarter break.

Albion tried to close the gap.

Their defenders, Talia Toleafoa (GD) and Mickey Jones (GK), were doing everything they could to prevent Pelasio and Lyons from scoring.

Goal shoot Isla Henderson shot 71% for University AlbionA.

In the other games, University Albion B had a nail-biter with Southern Magpies, University Albion B winning 46-45.

Physed A dominated the recently promoted South Pac Titans Tāiko to win 62-32.
