After having arguably the biggest impact of any rookie in ANZ Championship history, Fowler was expected to be chased by rival franchises on both sides of the Tasman but she believes she has found her niche at the Steel.
"Steel have proven themselves enough to know it's not a front because I see genuine things in this franchise,'' she said.
I've enjoyed the company of the girls and I always look forward to being amongst them."
Fowler said she had enjoyed how she'd been taken care of in the South.
''My mum and grandmum will be very happy to know how well I've been treated here."
In her debut campaign, Fowler has set ANZ Championship records for the most goals scored in both an individual game and a season, surpassing the 574 goals set by compatriot Carla Borrego, for the Adelaide Thunderbirds, in 2010.
