The Central Pulse has clinched home court advantage for the final, provided it has a venue to play at.
The competition leaders bounced back from their first loss of the ANZ Premiership season last week, to beat the Northern Stars 68-42 in Wellington.
That locked up the competition's top spot, moving to 39 points and seven in front of the Southern Steel.
It was a typically dominant performance from the Pulse which after leading 33-23 at halftime, won the third quarter 18-7 to open an insurmountable gap.
The Pulse shooters were clinical as ever, while the Stars struggled for accuracy, notably Ellen Halpenny managing just 3/10.
It leaves a question as to where, or when, the final will be played.
The Pulse's three home venues, in Wellington, Porirua and Palmerston North, are all booked out on the June 2 final day.
There has been a suggestion of moving the date a day later to the Monday.
It also means the Steel will host the Northern Stars in the elimination final on Wednesday May 29.
