The Dunedin Paralympian raced away to a time of 12.68sec in the mixed classification para 100m in her first outing of the season.

Grimaldi was in good company, with a handful of other Otago athletes in action at the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meeting.
Felix McDonald won the men’s long jump with a leap of 7.15m — the only athlete to go past the 7m mark — and Hayato Yoneto came third in the men’s 100m in 10.44sec.
Yoneto was also part of the New Zealand mixed relay team — alongside Samantha Lathwood, Kadin Taylor and Maddie Earley — that won the 4x100m event in 44.10sec.
Kiwi sprinters Zoe Hobbs and Tiaan Whelpton dipped under the qualifying marks for the world indoor championships in March.
Hobbs clocked 7.18sec in the women’s 60m — she also ran 10.99sec in the 100m, dipping under 11sec for the first time in 2026 but does not reach the world qualifying time due to wind — and Whelpton ran 6.55sec in 60m.
Whelpton, who equalled his own meet and New Zealand residents record with 10.10sec in the 100m, had his 60m time taken at the 60m mark during his 100m race to allow him to qualify.
Olympian Tom Walsh led the charge in the men’s shot put with 20.90m, clearing the Commonwealth Games A standard of 20.60m.
Fellow Olympian Eliza McCartney also cleared the Commonwealth Games pole vault standard with her leap of 4.63m.
