An Otago pacer is among the 37 nominations for this year's edition of the New Zealand Trotting Cup.
Portobello trainer Steve Ashton has nominated Better To Be Bad for the time-honoured group 1 stayers' test, and Ashton said her campaign would start with the Maurice Holmes Vase at Addington on Friday.
Seven Australian raiders have been nominated for this year's New Zealand Trotting Cup which will be run on Tuesday, November 12.
Themightyquinn looms as one of the major threats to two-time New Zealand Cup winner Terror To Love. Other nominees from across the Tasman include Light In Every Day, Chancellor Cullen, Motu Crusader and Suave Stuey Lombo.
The other two Australian nominations are Caribbean Blaster, who contested the 3200m group 1 feature last year, and Bitobliss, who won the Kilmore Cup after sitting parked outside Caribbean Blaster last year, and gained the tag of Australian's best pacer as a result.
Gore-trained pacer Phantom Grin has been paid up for the initial nomination, as has fellow Southlander Franco Ledger, while recent arrivals in the open-class ranks include Christen Me, Jason Rulz and Jimmy Johnstone.
