Bridgman took over as trainer for Te Akau stables in August, operating at Matamata and Rangiora.
He succeeded Mark Walker, who shifted to Singapore in September.
Walker had his first win in Singapore yesterday with Rio Fortune.
The 38-year-old Bridgman had been foreman for the stable about 10 years ago before gaining experience in Ireland, England and the United States. Gus Clutterbuck is in charge of the Rangiora stable where King's Rose has been based this season.
She won the Coupland's Stakes at Ashburton on October 17 and she was having her third start of the spring.
King's Rose is raced by her Hong Kong based-breeder, Dr Gene Tsoi.
She is by Redoute's Choice, sire of the 2007 NZ Derby winner, Redoute's Dancer.
Her dam, Nureyev's Girl, won three minor races to 1600m in Australia and placed in a listed race.
Opie Bosson, who rode King's Rose, won the One Thousand Guineas last year on Katie Lee.
King's Rose is now at the head of the Filly of the Year series with 12 points, ahead of Rememba Howe (6).
The next race in the series is the Eulogy Stakes (1600m) on December 11.
Hayden Tinsley and Darryl Bradley were suspended for careless riding at Riccarton on Saturday.
Noel Harris and Casey Lunn were suspended for careless riding on Wednesday when hearings concluded on Saturday.
Tinsley, was suspended until midnight on November 28 for allowing his mount, Magic Briar, to shift in near the 200m in the One Thousand Guineas, causing checks to Twilight Savings, Miss Maximuss and We Can Say It Now.
He was also fined $1000. He defended the charge.
Magic Briar was relegated from second to fifth.
The Judicial Control Authority upheld the protest of Mark Du Plessis, the rider of We Can Say It Now, who finished fifth.
Bradley was suspended from next Sunday until the following Sunday inclusive.
He admitted shifting out at the 100m when riding Platinum Princess, causing a check to Jack Attack.
Harris was suspended until November 24 after he admitted shifting in at the 1400m in the Coupland's Mile, causing checks to Royal Flight, Alagant Satin and Rochallen.
He was riding Fritzy Boy.
Lunn (Matryoshka) was also suspended to November 28 when she admitted shifting in and causing checks to Bellonet, Figure Again and Platinum Dancer.
• Riders Sam Spratt and James McDonald were suspended at the Dargaville meeting on Friday.
Spratt was suspended for four weeks until December 10 for failing to weigh in after finishing second Askmeagain, who was disqualified.
McDonald is out until midnight on November 24.
He defended a charge of careless riding on Mygooodgrace, who was found to have shifted in and tightened Sunsett.
• Burdekin Blues is set to make a comeback in the George Moore Stakes at Doomben next month.
Burdekin Blues was put aside in April by trainer Bary Baldwin, who was concerned about a ligament injury.
Burdekin Blues underwent surgery on both front knees, which ruled him out of the Brisbane winter carnival.
