The Westwood Beach trainer is lining up runners in both codes at the combined Beaumont Racing Club and Forbury Park Trotting Club meeting at Wingatui.
Hoffman trains gallopers on her own account, while she trains in partnership with Jonny Cox in the harness racing code.
Hoffman will be gearing up five horses across the two codes, including two recent thoroughbred arrivals from the North Island.
Spitting Image (race 3) comes into his rating 65 1200m assignment with perfectly good North Island form to his name, although Hoffman has the added pressure of training the gelding for her father, Jim.
''I think the [previous] owner wanted something that will go on and win a few races like his mother [Danart] did, but he was always running placings,'' Hoffman said.
Hoffman has only had the 4yr-old for a few weeks, but has watched his recent starts for Matamata trainers Mike Moroney and Chad Ormsby and hopes Spitting Image can put his barrier 3 draw to good use.
''In his last two starts, he's jumped out with them and then thought `No, I'm not going' and he's been under the whip, then he runs home late.''
Hughes That Girl has one placing to her name after 10 starts in the North Island, and Hoffman is looking forward to stepping her up over longer distances - and over softer ground - in the coming weeks.
''She hasn't raced since the end of last year. It's going to be more like a trial for her,'' Hoffman said.
''She's pretty fit but will definitely need the run. She'll need more like 1400m or 1600m.''
Wild For Me (race 6) had her excuses for her disappointing ninth at Gore on January 18 on her South Island debut.
''I was really disappointed but, straight after the race, her knee blew up. We got it X-rayed and she's missing some bone in her knee,'' Hoffman said.
''She was put on a course of cortisone so, hopefully, she's all right now. It took her a while to get the swelling out of it, but she's working well. We just work her off the side of the trotters to keep her straight.
Both Hoffman and Cox are quite confident of Still Shakin's chances in the sixth harness race on today's card, after he broke when driven by Amanda Turnbull at Waikouaiti on Tuesday.
''That was just a bit of driver error, I think. She let his head go and you've got to hold on to him. It's an even field but he should go well.''
Still Shakin showed what he was capable of when winning at Ascot Park in late January, and followed that up with a fifth behind Village Club at Gore on Mach 9.
''He went super that day at Gore and Jonny's quite confident with him.''
Kid Cullen (race 4) may need to get acquainted with being surrounded by other horses, Hoffman said.
''I don't know what she will think of the big field. She's only really seen two other horses [at the trials].''
