Racing: Trotters to beach stable

El Alamein and Avalon Sunset, the three-win trotters, are newcomers to the Westwood Beach stable of Graeme Anderson and Amber Hoffman.

El Alamein won two races when trained by his Westport breeder, Trevor Craddock.

The Call Me Now gelding had his most recent win at Forbury Park last April for Stu Campbell.

Avalon Sunset won at Forbury Park in July for Billy Heads.

The Sundon gelding won twice when trained by Derek Balle at Pukekohe.

Tom Creagh, a half-brother by Sundon to El Alamein, won the race for 2yr-old trotters at Rangiora yesterday when having his first start.

Tom Creagh is trained by Phil Williamson for John Higgins, of Invercargill, and Glen Pratt, of Westport.

They bred Tom Creagh. Pratt and his sister, Patrina, inherited Chiola Reb, the dam of Tom Creagh, from the estate of their father, Kevin, who shared the ownership of the mare with Craddock.

Chiola Reb won 10 races as a trotter for Craddock and the late Kevin Pratt.

Tom Creagh was broken in by Maurice Kerr at Gore.

Talkmeintoit has been sold by Williamson to Australian owners but the 3yr-old will remain in the stable with a view to contesting major races for 3yr-olds.

Talkmeintoit won at Motukarara on January 23 at his only start.

The Smiler has been exported to Australia.

The 4yr-old has won three races this season from the Ryal Bush stable of Hamish Hunter, who raced the Grinfromeartoear gelding with the What Ever syndicate.

The Fiery Ginga has been withdrawn from the Interdominion trotting series and will be turned out for two months.

"He is just not finishing his races off and he appears to have struck a flat patch," Alan Clark, his East Taieri owner-trainer, said.

The Fiery Ginga won fresh up at Forbury Park in September.
