Lydia Wallis took centre stage at the annual event hosted this year by the Clutha Rugby Football Club.
An estimated 150 women with ties to rugby attended the function.
The nomination for Mrs Wallis, forwarded by her club, said she has been involved with the junior club for 15 years and served as club captain for the last 11 seasons.
"During this time, Lydia has assisted at all age levels every week," the nomination read.
"Lydia keeps track of registration forms and subs for all junior players and a check on all jerseys, tracksuits and rugby balls.
"She is always first at any home games, putting up flags and goal pads then taking them back in." But her duties do not stop there.
Mrs Wallis also cleans the changing rooms at least three times a week after junior and premier practices, as well as after games.
She travels with the under-7 side and always has extra equipment if needed.
"Lydia has not had any family members playing at a junior level for a number of years, but she is considered as a grandmother to them all," the nomination read.
