Dunedin Premier Rugby full-time wrap

Harbour survived a quiet start and some ill discipline to beat Zingari-Richmond 40-17 at Watson Park this afternoon.

The Hawks lost two players to the bin in the opening 40 minutes and trailed 17-12 at the break.

But centre Sala Halaleva started to get a lot of traction down the right flank. He scored one and helped create two more as his side ran away to win by more than 20 points.

Dunedin continued its resurgence with a 31-28 win against the previously unbeaten Kaikorai at Bishopscourt.

Green Island edged Alhambra-Union 29-20 at the North Ground and University returned to form with a convincing 35-12 win against Taieri at the University of Otago Oval.

The scores:

Harbour 40-17 Zingari full-time

University 35-12 Taieri full-time

Kaikorai 28-31 Dunedin full-time

Alhambra Union 20-29 Green Island full-time

Our journalists are your neighbours

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

You can help us continue to bring you local news you can trust by becoming a supporter.
