Ben Smith 6/10: Did well to score a try where he had to beat a couple of defenders and put up some good bombs. Defences seem to have picked up on his tendency to drift across the field and chop back into a hole on attack, as they are ensuring these holes close up before he can get through.
Richard Buckman 6.5/10: Chased hard and applied some good pressure, which more than once forced mistakes. Made a couple of handy runs out wide.
Malakai Fekitoa 5/10: Rushed up at the wrong time, creating the gap which led to the Rebels third try. Not overly prominent on attack, although tried to add a bit of spark here and there.
Shaun Treeby 7/10: Used a lot to crash on the angle off first phase ball and did so well, running hard at the defensive line. Added a bit of punch to the midfield too and made a couple of nice runs, including the one which sparked the disallowed Aaron Smith try in the 12th minute.
Kurt Baker 5.5/10: Did not see a lot of action but was tidy, chased Aaron Smith's box kicks well.
Lima Sopoaga 6.5/10: Perhaps used the shallow kick in behind the defensive line a bit too much, but otherwise was good. Distributed well and generally was good in his goal kicking.
Aaron Smith 7/10: Sniped dangerously all night and was rewarded with a brilliant try. Passed well even when he was receiving rubbish ball and kicked so the chasers could contest. Loses a mark for a crucial missed tackle which led directly to the Rebels first try.
Nasi Manu 6/10: Not quite as impactful as usual, but still got through a solid amount of work. Stood a bit wider than you would perhaps normally see from him.
Shane Christie 7.5/10: Fast around the field and made plenty of tackles as always. Ran well in this game too, proving tough to drag down, always going forward and showed good vision to go straight through the ruck to score his try.
Gareth Evans 7/10: Defended well, both in the loose and in the tight when the team needed it. Worked hard all night and was solid at lineout time too.
Joe Wheeler 7/10: Tackled and cleaned out, a typical performance from a man who is becoming one of the most reliable locks in the competition.
Jarrad Hoeata 7/10: Prominent defensively, particularly in the first half where he was constantly showing up in the tight and provided good physicality.
Ma'afu Fia 5.5/10: Solid performance, made a few tackles and got to rucks, the scrum was inconsistent but ultimately held up okay.
Liam Coltman 6.5/10: Went looking for the ball on attack and was strong hitting it up. Made a handful of tackles too and was particularly good early on.
Chris King 7/10: Another busy performance around the field for King, who made 10 tackles and supported well on attack. Got the better of his man in the scrum too and was probably unlucky to be penalised the first time.
Ged Robinson 6.5/10: Got involved defensively, making five tackles. His throw to the lineout at the end of the game was not the best, although it worked out alright.
Craig Millar 6.5/10: Made a few tackles and was pretty involved in the defensive passage towards the end of the game. Supported play and got to rucks well on attack.
Matias Diaz (No Rating): Only came on in the 77th minute, but completed a cleanout which secured a penalty after a Treeby initiated turnover in the 79th minute.
Josh Bekhuis 6.5/10: Did well on defence too, holding the Rebels out well under pressure. Is not doing much wrong, is just unlucky to be in a position where there are so many in-form players.
Elliot Dixon 6/10: Got stuck in and made his tackles, although was perhaps a second slow to a couple of first-phase breakdowns.
Fumiaki Tanaka (No Rating): Got the last few minutes, did not get much chance to do anything but passed well enough.
TJ Ioane (No Rating): Another who came on very late in the piece, but went looking for the ball and even managed to have a few touches in the time he was on.
