Brazier (20) has been named at fullback for the side to take on England in London from 5am (NZ time) tomorrow.
Brazier can play most positions in the backline, especially first five-eighth, but has been selected at the back, while Rebecca Mahoney will play at No 10.
The Alhambra-Union player was a candidate for the Black Ferns last year but was unavailable for selection after suffering a nasty shoulder injury.
Brazier will not have to look too far for a familiar face in the match with club and provincial team mate Carla Hohepa starting on the left wing for the New Zealand side.
The other Otago player in the squad, University prop Beth Mallard, will start on the bench for the Black Ferns.
Black Ferns vice-captain Amiria Rule (nee Marsh) has played fullback for the Black Ferns previously but has been named to start at second five-eighth against the English.
The team only arrived in England midweek but coach Brian Evans said the side had settled well and was looking forward to taking on England.
The side will play England A on Wednesday morning, before the second test against England at Twickenham next weekend.
The women's clash will start about an hour after the All Blacks match against England finishes.
