Rugby: Crusaders halfback faces fitness test

Crusaders halfback Andy Ellis needs to pass a fitness test in Brisbane today if he is to face the Reds in the Super 15 final on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old has been bracketed with Kahn Fotuali'i in the side as he recovers from knee and shoulder bruising suffered in the semifinal defeat of the Stormers on Sunday morning (NZT).

Coach Todd Blackadder has otherwise named an unchanged side for the match at Suncorp Stadium with lock Luke Romano, who was quarantined in South Africa with chicken pox, bracketed on the bench Chris Jack.

Blackadder said the team was looking forward to the match: "We've had a good week here in Brisbane and the players look full of energy. It's going to be a great occasion and we know there will be a lot of Crusaders fans at the ground cheering us on."

Team: Tom Marshall, Sean Maitland, Robbie Fruean, Sonny Bill Williams, Zac Guildford, Dan Carter, Andy Ellis/Kahn Fotuali'i, Kieran Read, Richie McCaw (captain), George Whitelock, Sam Whitelock, Brad Thorn, Owen Franks, Corey Flynn, Wyatt Crockett. Reserves: Quentin MacDonald, Ben Franks, Luke Romano/Chris Jack, Matt Todd, Kahn Fotuali'i/Willi Heinz, Mat Berquist, Ryan Crotty.
