Willie Lawson kicked five penalty goals to give Kaikorai a win over a depleted Lawrence team that had lost three key players to Otago.
Kaikorai had the edge in the forwards through prop Jim Stevenson and loose forward Ben McDonald.
Centre Lex Kalacea and lock Mark Homer shone for Lawrence.
