England winger Lesley Vainikolo has been charged by police over an early morning brawl outside a nightclub.
The 29-year-old rugby player, nicknamed The Volcano for his powerful build and speed on the field, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent in the incident in October in Bath, southwest England.
The victim of the alleged attack, a man in his 20s, was hospitalised with head injuries.
The Tonga-born former Kiwis league player, who has played five times for England, will appear before Bath Magistrates' Court on January 2.
