Key Maniototo players: No 8 Josh Beer is big and brash and takes some stopping. He and flanker Andrew Hore will have a big impact on the game. In the backs, halfback Carn Parata has a good running game and centre Tom Dougherty will be influential. Player-coach Charlie Hore may well be a factor.
Key Wakatipu players: Hooker Jake McEwan and lock Ben MacDonald will be strong in the tight and captain Henry Youngman will be arguably the best loose forward on the paddock.

Clashes this season: Alexandra 22-8, Arrowtown 41-17.
Key Arrowtown players: Prop George Ravula has scored nine tries this season and is devastating with ball in hand. Uruguayan inside back Jose Asuaga has been the best back all year long and will be a factor in this one. Former captain Aidan Winter's experience will be a key.
Key Alexandra players: Alexandra's improved defence has been a major contributor this year. Led by loosies Shane Harrex and Blair van der Voort, it will be a key in this game. The halves combination of Jai Baxter and Bevan Passmore was influential last week and both players will be up for it again tomorrow.
