Wellington too strong

Hooker Asafo Aumua led the way yesterday as holder Wellington trounced South Canterbury 67-21 in their Ranfurly Shield clash in Lower Hutt.

Aumua scored four tries from the home side’s impressive driving maul.

Loose forward Siu Kakala epitomised the grit of the visiting team, scoring two tries after coming off the bench in the second half.

Wellington’s next defence is against Southland next month.
