Olympians to study

Three of New Zealand's Winter Olympians are completing an Otago Polytechnic course designed to provide them with insights into avalanche risk management.

Jossi Wells, Miguel Porteous and Finn Bilous, along with Freeride World Tour competitors Craig Murray and Julian Hampton and multisport athlete Hamish Fleming, are working towards their New Zealand Certificate in Avalanche Risk Management.

The 12-week block course is a mix of theory and "on-snow" study.
