Cyclist taken to hospital after being hit by car

A cyclist was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Christchurch on Tuesday morning.

A police spokeswoman said the collision happened at a roundabout on Dyers Rd, Bromley, about 10am. 

The cyclist received moderate injuries.

St John New Zealand spokesman Gerard Campbell said an ambulance crew attended the scene.

The cyclist was transported to Christchurch Hospital.
