A collection of video interviews featuring personal accounts from people affected by the Christchurch mosque attacks will be released next week in the lead up to the one year anniversary on March 15.

From Monday, starnews.co.nz will share a 30min video each day from the ‘Messages from the Mosques’ series, produced by the Muslim Association of Canterbury.

A spokesperson for the association said the videos will feature some "moving material".

"We hear from a widow, witnesses to the attack, a sister who lost a brother, an injured survivor.

"Each video is around 30 minutes long (no questions are asked) and has been edited into a shorter piece.

"This is about giving this community the chance to tell their stories in their own words."
