A woman was taken to hospital after a crash last night that caused a vehicle to flip onto its roof.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Wairakei Rd in Bryndwr about 8pm on Thursday.
A Fire and Emergency NZ spokeswoman said a person had freed themselves from their vehicle shortly before two fire crews arrived.
St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said a woman was moderately injured in the crash and was taken to Christchurch Hospital.
