Police investigate early morning car fire

A car fire in Spreydon early this morning is being treated as suspicious.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said a crew from Spreydon Fire Station was called to the blaze on Neville St at about 12.30am on Tuesday.

The car was "well involved" when firefighters arrived.

The spokeswoman said the fire is being treated as suspicious and police are investigating.
