Vehicle rolls, smashes into fence

A crash in Christchurch has ended with a vehicle rolling onto its side and smashing into a fence next to a busy intersection.

The crash happened in wet conditions about 9.45am on Friday at the roundabout of Harewood, Russley and Johns Rds.

A vehicle recovery operation is due to be launched within the next hour.

Motorists should be mindful of driver distraction and expect some delays during the recovery operation. 

A St John spokesman said one person was taken to Christchurch Hospital by ambulance in a moderate condition following the crash.
