It’s almost time to get your classic car out of the garage or dust off your favourite set of wheels - and head for Amberley.

Rock‘n’Wheels, which will be held at the Amberley Domain, is again offering people the chance to take their dads for a spin on Father’s Day on Sunday, September 3.

The focus remains firmly on the event's foundation of: "If it has wheels and you love it, bring it along".

Everything with wheels is welcome - old or new. It can be your pride and joy which has been waiting for its time to shine or your trusty scooter which gets you round town.

All it needs is wheels or a wheel.

Run by the Rock'n'Wheels Charitable Trust, the event will support Amberley School, Broomfield School, the Amberley Squash Club and the Leithfield Boxing Club.

All four organisations have got in behind the trust to ensure the day runs smoothly and provide heaps of entertainment and a fun day out for all ages.

An organiser Katrina Platt says there will be a small swap­meet site, craft and food stalls, live music, and entertainment, including Peddlemania.

"It’s a fun day out in the country for car enthusiasts and a great way to treat dad on Father’s Day," Katrina said.

Registration has been simplified to keep the traffic flowing this year. There will be a $10 per entry for vehicles, which includes the driver and one passenger, and $5 each for extra passengers. For those coming along to enjoy the day out, it will be $5 an adult.

Katrina recommends arriving before lunch to enjoy the line up of vehicles before some of the cars begin to head home.
