Hundreds of Cantabrians turned out at the Lincoln University community day on Sunday.

About 500 people enjoyed the activities around the campus and organised by the university and its students’ association.

A spokesman for the event said the face-painting area and bouncy castles were popular, while buskers Mullet Man and Min also drew big crowds.

The community day featured displays and hands-on activities put together by student clubs, including Lincoln Young Farmers and the Soil Society.

The vineyard tours, guided walks around the university's art collection and the petting zoo were also popular.

It was the second time the community day has been held. It aims to entertain families and give them the opportunity to explore the Lincoln Uni campus.
