A 47-year-old man is due to appear in Christchurch District Court on Thursday after presenting a gun at a property in Canterbury.
Police responded to reports of gunshots fired at an address on King St in Coalgate, in the Selwyn District about 4.27pm on Wednesday.
Police said there were no injuries reported, and one man was taken into custody following the event.
