Police have recovered a man's body during their search for a missing fisherman in the Tekapo-Twizel area.
A police spokesman said the body was discovered in the Tekapo Canal earlier today.
A formal identification is underway but police believe it to be a man reported missing from a fishing trip in the area.
He was due to return home Saturday and was reported missing Sunday evening.
His vehicle was located near Irishman Creek Monday.
