Eagle chopper lands on Christchurch school field

The police Eagle helicopter turned up at a Christchurch primary school on Tuesday morning.

The chopper landed on the Bromley School field in front of dozens of pupils and staff.

"Exciting news. We have the honour of hosting the new police helicopter here," a school spokesperson said on Facebook.

Police officers spoke to the children about what the helicopter will be doing in Christchurch during its five-week trial period.
