The Canterbury United Pride’s form is improving ahead of a clash to keep their Women’s National League hopes alive.
The Pride drew 2-2 with Wellington Phoenix Reserves on Saturday, their second consecutive draw after losing the opening game of their campaign.
Although they remain near the bottom of the table, the Pride are only four points behind the top two and a win against Eastern Suburbs on Sunday is crucial to stay in contention. The match kicks off at noon at Madills Farm in Auckland.
In the men’s competition, Christchurch United has slipped from first to third after going down 3-0 to Phoenix Reserves in their first loss of the season.
They face Western Springs at home on Saturday at 2.45pm.
Meanwhile, Coastal Spirit will hope to pick up their first points when they take on Auckland FC Reserves away at 2pm on Saturday at Fred Taylor Park.
Coastal lost 3-1 to defending champions Wellington Olympic on Sunday and are bottom of the league.
