The University of Otago Staff Women’s Caucus and Graduate Women Otago will host an International Women’s Day Breakfast this Friday morning.
Aligned with the theme "Give to Gain", the event will feature a talk by Jackie Bannon of the Dunedin Bowling Club, sharing insights on community, generosity and the impact of giving in practical, everyday ways.
And for the first time, Table Tennis New Zealand (TTNZ) is co-ordinating a nationwide Women & Girls Have-A-Go Weekend to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The initiative, which includes 14 member associations, will include sessions focusing on fun and connection, with activities suitable for all ages and abilities.
The Otago have-a-go day will be held this Saturday from 10am-1pm at Kaikorai Valley College Gymnasium. Equipment will be provided on the day.
