Changes, too, in the writer/singer split usually weighted in favour of Patterson Hood, with collaborator Mike Cooley matching Hood's contribution, his deeper vocals and straight-shooting lyrics a standout feature of these tales of personal and social politics.
This 10th album in a stream of quality releases might not be the Truckers' best, but it maintains their place at the head of the country-rock pack.
