The world premiere for the final Hobbit film has been announced and it's not in New Zealand.
In a new video, Sir Ian McKellen and a cast of stars announced The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies would premiere at London's Leicester Square on December 1.
"The road goes on and on and has for 14 years, but now we are at the end of the journey," McKellen says in the video.
The film opens in New Zealand on 11 December
