Green machine ... Kelly Spiers with her Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, which will make its car show debut
Loud and noisy are two words to best describe Kelly Spiers' Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
Spiers had wanted one her whole life, so when she saw it for sale online about 14 months ago, she snapped it up.
Although it was not quite how she imagined it would be.
"It was a wreck when I got it."
The car had been outside with the windows down for about 10 years, and had not been on the road since 2007.
Despite its condition, she bought the car and spent the next year restoring it which required plenty of painting, welding and panel beating.
"I have done everything ... apart from the seats.
"I knew I could make it better."
Spiers said the car was loud, noisy and a "dream to drive".
"You can hear me coming."
It will make its car show debut at next month's Great USA Day and she was looking forward to her hard work being recognised.
"When you have worked your ass off on something, you want to show it off."
