focus, knowledge and love.
Q How did you end up making coffee?
My first touch with coffee was in Europe and if you try that gorgeous Italian style it's very easy to fall in love.
Q The key to being a good barista is?
Every cup should be made with passion, focus, knowledge and love of course. But also practice is the key because practice makes perfect.
Q Weirdest drink request you've had?
Unsweetened soy matcha with a piece of butter was pretty impressive.
Q What do you drink?
A flat white mainly and macchiato in tough barista's moments.
Q What does it take to make those shapes on top of a coffee?
Deliberate practice. Each coffee is a bit of alchemy; if one part is not correct, then it will not assemble correctly.
Q Top tip for home coffee makers?
Definitely don't expect the same quality as coffee from a barista coffee machine but great coffee beans and a proper grinder can make miracles even with a simple moka pot!
Q Chemex or cold brew - what's your preference?
Chemex.
Q Would you serve coffee in an avocado shell as per latest instagram trends?
Well, it doesn't sound very practical but if you will come with an avocado shell I will try it for sure.
