Dunedin police seek man over assault

Dunedin would like to speak with this man, or anyone who knows him, in relation to an assault in George St, Dunedin.

This security camera image was released by police this week.

In the incident, in late May, a man was knocked unconscious at the corner of George St and Moray Pl on May 2 by a single blow to his head.

This is the police's second appeal for witnesses.

The man or anyone with any information should contact Constable Tracey Bransgrove on 471 4800.

Our journalists are your neighbours

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
